Riffmaster General impossible not to move your head while listing to this headbanger! Track description got me (part about "smile") and I've decided to listen. Hell yeah I was smiling in a minute! those riffs and sinister harmonies, brutal! Epic stuff!

Full of heavy riffs and erupting vocals, ‘Siege Of Caffa’ defies the sounds of metal and will leave the listeners gobsmacked and speechless. With powerful and heavy drums connected with intense basslines and mind-blowing lyrics, this song is sure to put a smile on every metalhead's face.

Inspired by the story of The Siege of Caffa (which was considered the first use of biological warfare and thought to be reason the black plague spread to Europe), Evil Saints channeled their desire to experiment in the occult whilst tapping into the metal roots from a midwest upbringing, resulting in unique guitar work and dark forsaken lyricism.

Written in 2019, while renting a practice studio next to a black metal/death metal band, the spell-binding song was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a bittersweet decision which worked coherently due to the track being about a virus.

Recorded by the band itself, the song takes inspiration from bands such as Deafheaven, Behemoth, Baroness, and Ghost, and mixes in Evil Saints admirations and passions for horror, dark surrealism and the rough history of the past.

With the band gearing up to release a Self-Titled 5-song EP on September 27, ‘Siege of Caffa’ is the perfect single to get you warmed up for the chaos that lies ahead.

Evil Saints Phoenix, Arizona

Hailing from Phoenix, AZ by way of St. Joseph, MO, Isaac grew up influenced by the midwest city’s dark metal scene.

When his band ‘The Phlowers’ went on indefinite hiatus, he converted their practice studio to a makeshift office.

The constant barrage of brutal death metal from studio next door could only be drown out by cranking a ton of thrash metal.
